Emma Raducanu posted a photo dump that gives insight into how her life over the last 12 months has looked. In the photos posted, Raducanu can be seen enjoying a wide range of activities such as being in nature, enjoying an astonishing landscape, eating good food and flying all over the world.
Also, Raducanu’s post included a recent photo taken during her practice session.“Let’s try this again (laughing emoji). Everywhere and nowhere the last 365 (days),” Raducanu captioned her Instagram post.
Raducanu advised to draw inspiration from Elina Svitolina, Caroline Wozniacki
Raducanu, 20, hasn’t played since April as she underwent surgeries on both wrists and her left ankle in early May. This month, Raducanu returned to the practice court for the first time since undergoing surgeries and she is working on returning soon.
Laura Robson, a former British tennis player, advised Raducanu to draw inspiration from Svitolina and Wozniacki. After being out for 13 months, Svitolina made a very impressive return from maternity leave this year. Wozniacki, a former world No 1, also returned this past week after being out for three and a half years.
Although Raducanu is coming back from surgeries and not from maternity leave, Robson thinks the 20-year-old can learn something from the comeback examples of Svitolina and Wozniacki.“We know she has got the game to do it.
She has the ball striking ability, she is a great mover and a great all-round player and she competes. All you can do is stay as healthy as possible and try to play as many matches as possible to see where you go. Other players have come back very quickly in this last year.
Svtolina has been amazing to watch and then Wozniacki has looked amazing considering she has not played in three and a half years. There are lots of players for Emma to look up to as examples of how quickly it can come back and not to get too disheartened if it doesn’t because everyone is on their own journey,” Robson told Tennis365.
