Celtics alum Evan Turner on the typical honesty of general managers in today’s NBA

Former Boston Celtics assistant coach and player Evan Turner shared his perspective on the James Harden situation with the Philadelphia 76ers and their general manager Daryl Morey on a recent episode of the Athletic “NBA Show” podcast, highlighting the drama and media attention such requests tend to generate, and how the media tends to distort the situation.

The Ohio State alum acknowledged that the situation unfolding in Philly isn’t normal for the Sixers and predicts that changes will happen sooner than later due to the untenable situation. Turner mentioned that while it’s rare for players to publicly call out their general managers as liars, he also believes that GMs lie frequently.
