England are out of the World Cup after Harry Kane missed a late penalty in a 2-1 defeat to France in the quarter-finals.
Kane had already scored one from the spot when he had the chance to take another and rescue the Three Lions and send the game to extra-time.
But the Tottenham striker blazed a penalty high over the bar and forfeited the chance to become England’s all-time leading goalscorer.
Kylian Mbappe and France are now into their second successive semi-finals and will take on Morocco for the chance to face either Argentina or Croatia.
