“Today, a Tennis Anti-Doping Program tribunal announced the provisional decision made in my case. Last year I played the hardest game of my life and unfortunately my struggle continues. I have dedicated my life to tennis. I take the rules that govern our sport very seriously and am proud of the fact that I have never knowingly or intentionally used any prohibited substances.

I refuse to accept their decision regarding the four-year ban. In a 126-page report, the court found that I am guilty of both charges brought by the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA): a urine test that came back positive during a tournament for a banned substance and a violation of my biological passport.

I, along with my representatives, have presented compelling evidence to the ITIA and the court in support of my defense, including multiple legitimate questions regarding the conclusions reached regarding my biological passport (ABP) test.”These are the words of Simona Halep, who was sentenced by ITIA to 4 years of disqualification due to the doping ban she received at the 2022 US Open.

Fans harshly rips Bouchard for her dig to Halep

The matter had grotesque marks, especially because Simona was forced to sit still for a year due to the bureaucratic slowness of ITIA, which took a long time to pronounce a verdict. On X, the beautiful Canadian tennis player shared a post that infuriated some users due to its content. She wrote: “I was told not to tweet today.”

What she says is a probable dig towards Romanian.

Genie has already in the past attacked tennis players who had received doping bans, such as Maria Sharapova and Dayana Yastremska. This time, however, Bouchard had to face a wave of negative comments from some on X users, who didn’t like her words.
