Former Spartan Joey Hauser signs two-way contract with Utah Jazz

One of Michigan State basketball’s top players from last year has signed with the Utah Jazz.

Joey Hauser has signed a two-way contract with the Utah Jazz. The organization officially announced the move on Monday.

In the NBA, a “two-way contract” allows developing players to simultaneously be rostered on an NBA team and its G League affiliate. Each NBA team can have two players on this type of contract.

Hauser averaged 14.4 points, 7 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game last year for the Spartans. He started all 34 games for Michigan State.
