Gunners aim to bounce back from Man City defeat and pick up huge win in Premier League title race as Emery faces former club with clash underway

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from a damaging defeat to Manchester City in midweek when they take on Aston Villa today.

The Gunners were beaten 3-1 at home by Pep Guardiola’s side, meaning they dropped down to second in the Premier League table.

Mikel Arteta’s side are winless in three top-flight games and in desperate need of a positive result to prevent their rivals from moving further clear.

They now face their former manager Unai Emery who will be out to turn his current side’s form around with Villa heavily beaten in their last two outings.

Arsenal came out on top of this clash earlier in the season with Gabriel Martinelli scoring the winner in a 2-1 victory in August.
