Knicks to play Christmas Day against Bucks: report

It wouldn’t be Christmas Day without Knicks basketball.

According to The Athletic’s Shams Charania, the Knicks will open the NBA’s slate of Christmas Day games when they host the Milwaukee Bucks.

This year will mark the third consecutive Christmas Day game for the Knicks and their third in the last five seasons.

The NBA’s slate of games will reportedly also include the Miami Heat hosting the Philadelphia 76ers, the Los Angeles Lakers hosting the Boston Celtics, the Dallas Mavericks traveling to Phoenix to take on the Suns and the defending champion Denver Nuggets hosting the Golden State Warriors.

For the Knicks, they’ll take on the Bucks in what will surely be a “measuring stick” game for Jalen Brunson, Julius Randle and the rest of the team. Last season, the Knicks lost all three games against the Bucks, two of them at Madison Square Garden.

With the departure of Obi Toppin, the addition of Donte DiVincenzo and Josh Hart’s extension, this Knicks team will look to show how much they’ve improved when they go up against Giannis Antetokounmpo and the former world champions.
