Max Verstappen managed to charm his British rivals after leaving them in his dust at Silverstone.
The Dutchman won the British Grand Prix from Lando Norris and Lewis Hamilton, despite a pair of uncharacteristic errors.
Hitting the pitwall in qualifying, Verstappen then was slow on his race start on Sunday, losing first place to Norris.
He took it back five laps later, and then went on to win by 3.7 seconds, achieving his eighth victory of the season.
The other two races of the year were won by his teammate Sergio Perez, making it 11 on the bounce for Red Bull going back to last season.
That’s now the joint-longest winning streak for any team in the history of Formula 1, equalling McLaren in 1988.
Verstappen is now cruising towards his third consecutive world title, and things could soon get even more dominant with upgrades coming for the next race in Hungary.
But when asked about the media post-race where he would like to see his Red Bull improved, his answer left Hamilton and Norris sat next to him chuckling.
“Drag, low speed, medium speed, high speed, DRS effect, tyre-wear, all of these areas,” Verstappen said.
“That’s what we’re working on, and breaking performance too, I’m not kidding.”
Hamilton couldn’t believe what he was hearing, looking across to Norris in laughter, who saw the funny side of things too.
