Even amid the disappointment of an unexpected early playoff exit last season, Jae Crowder said he wanted to be back playing with the Milwaukee Bucks in 2023-24. That officially became the case Sunday when the Bucks announced the return of the 33-year-old forward on a one-year free agent deal.
Crowder was originally acquired by the Bucks in a four-team deal on Feb. 9 that eventually landed Crowder in Milwaukee. The Marquette University alumnus had sat out the first part of the season in Phoenix while awaiting a trade, and eventually made his debut for the Bucks on Feb. 24.
He played in 18 regular season games and shot 43.6% from behind the three-point arc. In the first-round playoff series against Miami, however, his playing time eventually dwindled to zero in Game 4 and just 18 seconds in Game 5.
Crowder was originally drafted by Cleveland at No. 34 in the 2012 draft, and he has played for eight teams in his career.
