Manchester City, Liverpool and Man United in action twice during potentially season-defining week

The climax of the 2022/23 Premier League campaign is fast approaching, so a double gameweek could prove to be season-defining.

At this point of the campaign, any advantage one team can gain over another is crucial and this weekend represents a big chance for six clubs to put some points on the board.

Man City have the chance to move above Arsenal at the top of the table with their first game-in-hand

Which Premier League sides play games-in-hand this weekend?

Man City, Liverpool, Manchester United, Brighton, West Ham and Fulham are all in action twice before the next round of fixtures.

And out of those sides, the Cottagers are the only club that don’t really have much to play for, barring a top-ten finish.

But City have eyes on the title, while Liverpool, Brighton and Man United are in the hunt for Champions League football, and West Ham are still battling against relegation.

When will these games be played?

The first of three massive fixtures starts with Man City welcoming West Ham.

This is a huge game in the context of the title race, as if Arsenal and City win their next fixtures, a victory here will take Pep Guardiola’s side one point clear at the top of the table.

But the Hammers need the points as well – as they are still in a relegation battle, meaning we should be in for an intriguing encounter.

That game at the Etihad is scheduled for Wednesday, May 3, with kick-off set for 8pm.

On the same night, Liverpool welcome Fulham to Anfield as the Reds look to close the gap on the top four.

By the time this one comes around, Liverpool could have won four consecutive Premier League matches to move right back into the conversation for Champions League football.

On the following night, Man United visit the south coast to play FA Cup semi-final opponents Brighton.

Both sides are still well in the race for a Champions League place, while the Seagulls will be out for revenge after losing on penalties at Wembley.
