Victor Osimhen is only willing to join one of two clubs this summer, according to former Napoli midfielder Salvatore Bagni.
The Nigeria striker has been the subject of speculation surrounding his future with a host of European football’s big hitters interested in him.
Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Bayern Munich and Paris Saint-Germain are keeping tabs on the striker following a superb campaign, firing Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years.
Osimhen netted 31 goals in 39 games across all competitions making him one of Europe’s most deadly finishers.
With Europe sitting up and taking notice, Osimhen could be on his way out of Napoli this summer but according to Bagni, only two clubs would fit the mould for the 24-year-old.
“Victor Osimhen won’t return to France because he already played there,” Bagni said. “The same thing with Germany.
“He doesn’t go to Liverpool or Chelsea because they do not play the Champions League.
“Of all the teams associated with him, for me, he would only go to Manchester United and Real Madrid. He’s not interested in the other teams.”
United have made a new No.9 their priority this summer and are set to go on the offensive after agreeing a deal to sign Mason Mount.
The Red Devils became highly reliant on Marcus Rashford last season following the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo, whilst loan signing Wout Weghorst could only muster up two goals for the club.
Napoli are keen to hold on to their prized possession but president Aurelio de Laurentiis has opened the door to clubs interested in signing him.
“We already talked to Osimhen before the Scudetto celebration, so we already have a basic agreement on a two-year extension of his contract,” Laurentiis said.
“I have said for a while that Osimhen has to stay. Then, if an offer came in that I could not refuse for the good of Napoli, then we would consider it, as is only natural.”
