Crystal Palace are expected to confirm that Roy Hodgson is staying on as manager.
Hodgson returned to Selhurst Park in March for his second stint at the Eagles following Patrick Vieira’s sacking.
The 75-year-old helped guide the Eagles to safety, winning five and drawing three of his ten games in charge.
talkSPORT reported in May that the former England manager was open to extending his stay at the club beyond his initial interim spell.
The former England boss left Palace by mutual consent in 2021, but returned following an unsuccessful spell at Watford.
Hodgson will continue as the oldest manager in the Premier League as he takes to the dugout once again for the 2023/24 season.
He returned to Palace last season with his trusted number two Ray Lewington as first-team coach, with Paddy McCarthy as assistant manager.
Speaking about his future at the end of the season, Hodgson said: “I should leave the options totally open and who knows what will happen.
“I’m not going to mention the word ‘retire’. I don’t think I did the first time, I tried not to, but of course it became I assumed that when I left Crystal Palace and didn’t look for another job, I was retiring.
“But I’m certainly not going to make that mistake again, because when I went back to Watford, suddenly the talk is, ‘he’s come out of retirement to do this’.”
