Last weekend’s 9% pump in Shiba Inu’s price pleasantly surprised many crypto investors, including U.S. politician Shannon Bray. Addressing the ‘lil pump’ in Shiba Inu’s price, Bray also publicly mentioned Shibacals.
The new physical studio to print out Shibarium merchandise and NFTs emerged just last week, as the early July surprise mentioned by Shytoshi Kusama came earlier than expected. Bray fired shots at PEPE by uttering, “Thank goodness we’re not $PEPE. They’ll never be on Robinhood.”
Bray is addressing the lack of utility for the frog-themed memecoin, which made waves months ago by hopping right into the TOP 50 by global market capitalization. However, the moment in the sun for $PEPE seems to be over, as it is near to dropping out of the TOP 100 with a $388 million market cap and a 75% decline from its all-time high (ATH).
Shiba Inu Makes Another Move in Retail
While some crypto enthusiasts perceived the comparison to $PEPE as having a dig at its community, Bray, a gubernatorial candidate for the Libertarian Party in North Carolina, likely meant something else – the retail potential of the crypto project.
Indeed, SHIB Token has been doing more to present the Shiba Inu brand in real life, as seen in the Welly fast food chain in Italy, a dedicated fashion designer and a physical non-fungible token (NFT) and merchandise studio to print out what the SHIB community desires.
Regarding Welly’s, the chain just shared the first packaging prints for the second restaurant in the franchise. The recently announced second burger shop will be located in Reggio Emilia, Italy, providing exclusive deals for Welly NFT owners.
