Steph, Klay to play in Warriors-Grizzlies; Kuminga probable originally appeared on NBC Sports Bayarea

Steph Curry and Klay Thompson will play Saturday in the second game of a back-to-back with heavy implications.

Neither Curry nor Thompson is listed on the Warriors‘ injury report for their road matchup with the Memphis Grizzlies at FedExForum, while Jonathan Kuminga (right ankle) is listed as probable.

Along with veterans Curry and Thompson, Draymond Green will return Saturday from the one-game suspension he served after receiving his 16th technical foul of the 2022-23 NBA season Wednesday night against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Andrew Wiggins, who has been out since mid-February due to personal reasons, remains out for the Dubs-Grizz clash.

After Curry was listed as questionable with left thumb soreness before playing in Golden State’s 127-119 loss to the Atlanta Hawks on Friday, there was some uncertainty as to whether or not he would play again Saturday. And Thompson has made it a goal of his to play in the second half of every Warriors back-to-back after doing so Feb. 14 for the first time since returning from his pair of injuries.

Curry and Thompson’s presence is imperative as the Warriors look to avoid their 11th straight road loss while sitting precariously in the Western Conference’s No. 7 seed, with the same record as the No. 6-seeded Dallas Mavericks and just one game ahead of the No. 8 Minnesota Timberwolves.

Matchups with the Grizzlies always promise to be must-see TV, and Curry, Thompson and Green’s presence certainly gives the Warriors their best chance to win.
