Arsenal legend Perry Groves was left unimpressed with Rob Holding’s attitude after struggling to deal with Erling Haaland.
The Gunners defender came up against Manchester City’s goal-scoring machine in their Premier League clash.
Towards the end of the first half, the duo were walking together on the pitch, with Holding seen smiling and laughing.
However, Groves questioned what he was doing in such a monumental clash.
Speaking to talkSPORT, he said: “Holding, stop smiling and laughing!
“I don’t want to see my centre-half smiling and laughing, especially when you’ve just been given the run around by Haaland.”
Groves added: “Haaland can have a grin on his face because he’s got Holding and Gabriel in his pocket!
“Someone needs to tell Holding to stop following Haaland and De Bruyne to the halfway line.”
Kevin De Bruyne gave City the lead soon after they had calls for a penalty dismissed by referee Michael Oliver.
John Stones made it 2-0 as they headed towards the break, with the reigning champions in firm control.
City added a third early in the second half, with De Bruyne grabbing his second of the night.
