The G League Ignite will tip off their fourth season as a developmental program on Nov. 10 with a full season schedule in their second year in Henderson, Nevada.
The stated goal of the Ignite is to provide development opportunities for the top prospects looking to play professionally. The team offers the players a platform to showcase their skills in front of scouts and executives against G League competition.
The program has helped produce several first-round picks, including Jalen Green, Scoot Henderson, Jonathan Kuminga, Dyson Daniels and MarJon Beauchamp. The team is once again expected to have more players drafted next year with several prospects on the roster.
The Ignite will host a pair of preseason games against the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League on Sept. 6 and Sept. 8. The two contests will air on NBA TV and feature a few projected first-round picks, including Alex Sarr of the Wildcats.
The roster for the Ignite still has to be finalized ahead of the season opener but there are several prospects set to hit the court with the team this season.
