UFC prospect Thembo Gorimbo has been gifted a house by Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson to end his days of sleeping on his sofa in his Miami gym.
Previous footage captured the heartwarming moment the WWE legend surprised the 32-year-old after being touched by his inspirational story.
After his first UFC win in May where he beat Takashi Sato, Gorimbo, who emigrated to the US, revealed how he had just $7.49 [£5.90] in his bank account.
And after selling his fight gear from the bout where he earned $7k [£5.5k], he used the money to build a water pump back in his village in Zimbabwe.
His story moved The Rock, whose production company is called Seven Bucks due to him having $7 after he was cut from the Canadian Football League almost 30 years ago.
It turns out that the pair’s interaction was just the start of an incredibly day for Gorimbo, with Johnson surprising him by taking him to his new home.
Johnson shared the amazing gesture in a recent YouTube video, with ‘The Answer’ thinking he was going to the The Rock’s friend at the house.
But after noticing pictures of his family in the living room, Johnson handed him the keys to the crib, where he stated: “So Themba, I don’t know anybody who lives here.
“I wanted to come here, I wanted to bring you here, I wanted to look you in the eye and I wanted to tell you, welcome home.”
Gorimbo instantly embraced The Rock after being left stunned by his act of generosity.
Johnson continued: “I was so moved by your story. When I found out you were sleeping on the couch in the gym… now there’s no more couch sleeping.
“This is your house. Welcome home! Now you can bring your kids here, man, your family. This place is yours. You don’t have to think about anything.
“The only thing you think about is your family, getting them over here, getting them with you, training, and becoming a champion.”
Overcome by emotion, Gorimbo said: “Thank you so much, man. I will become a champion, trust me.
“Trust me, you can shake my hand, I will become your champion. Thank you. Thank you so much.”
Gorimbo, who competes in the welterweight division, is expected to return to the octagon later this year.
