Matteo Berrettini was forced to withdraw from the US Open due to a dramatic injury to his right ankle. The Italian tennis player still has to deal with bad luck in this very unfortunate 2023 for him.During the match against Arthur Rinderknecht, which the Frenchman led with the result of 6-4 5-3, the former Italian number one in the attempt to recover a ball in defense put his foot badly and his ankle.The seriousness of the injury appeared immediately evident to all people among the crowd in the stands, including the family made up of mother Claudia Bigo and father Luca Berrettini.
