Venus Williams congratulated Novak Djokovic on joining Serena Williams on the list of players who have won 23 Grand Slams. In the French Open final, Djokovic handled Casper Ruud in straight sets to surpass Rafael Nadal and become the first-ever male player to win 23 Grand Slams.
By winning his 23rd Grand Slam title, Djokovic also emulated Serena’s Grand Slam success. “Congrats! So inspiring!” Venus wrote on her Instagram Story. Congratulations have been pouring in Djokovic’s way ever since he sealed his 23rd Grand Slam title.
One of the first to congratulate Djokovic was Nadal. “Many congrats on this amazing achievement @DjokerNole. 23 is a number that just a few years back was impossible to think about, and you made it! Enjoy it with your family and team!” Nadal tweeted.

Djokovic, who turned 36 last month, became a Grand Slam champion after beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the 2008 Australian Open final. Since then, Djokovic collected 22 more Grand Slam titles.
