Naomi Osaka is finally ready to embrace the WTA Tour again and her fans are ready to embrace her come back on the tennis court. The Japanese tennis player has been off the WTA Tour since she announced her pregnancy. Naomi, together with her partner Cordae, became parents of little Shai.
The tennis player and the rapper started dating in 2019 and, in a recent interview with InStyle Magazine, Naomi confided what it was like for her and Cordae to become parents, explaining how they tried to guarantee the best for their daughter, facing disagreements together and problems.
“It has been easy, so far, to parent with Cordae. We built a really good foundation. At the end of the day, we both want what’s best for Shai. I don’t know if it’s because he’s just an easygoing guy, but I think we just respect each other’s opinions.
If we disagree on something, we talk it out,” she explained.
Naomi Osaka is ready to return to the court
The Japanese tennis player has chosen to restart from the WTA tournament in Brisbane and she will try to regain form and confidence ahead of the 2024 Australian Open.
In a recent interview given to the Japanese broadcaster NHK, Osaka focused on the first part of her career. “In the first chapter of my tennis I got by just being myself and playing with my instincts, I think I wanted to be someone who understood the game a lot more,” she told.
Osaka continued by confessing her desire to improve the results achieved at Wimbledon and the Roland Garros. In both Majors she never got beyond the third round. “I definitely want to win more Grand Slams and I imagine I will dedicate more time to the French Open and Wimbledon, and play at the Paris Olympics,” explained the Japanese.
With the beginning of the upcoming season, Osaka will join Rafael Nadal, Angelique Kerber and Nick Kyrgios in what will be a swinf with all the best tennis players on the planet.
