Manchester United took just seven minutes to take the lead against Tottenham thanks to Jadon Sancho.
It was the worst possible start for Spurs under Ryan Mason, with Cristian Romero being criticised for his defending for the goal.
United travelled to north London looking for a win that will boost their hopes of a top four finish.
It didn’t take long for them to stamp their mark though, with Sancho firing in a superb shot into the bottom right corner.
The 23-year-old’s effort was well struck, but talkSPORT’s Scott Minto was left unimpressed with Romero’s efforts to block it.
He said: “It’s too simple. It’s like the first goal at St James’ Park. There are three Spurs players, someone has to stop the shot. Make a block.
“Romero is too busy trying to make sure his hands are behind his back.
“Just get closer to him! Get tighter! It’s wonderful from Sancho but it’s basic defending.”
talkSPORT commentator Sam Matterface said: “That’s embarrassing. It’s their first attack. It’s Jadon Sancho, you know what he’s going to do.”
Minto also said: “From Tottenham’s point of view, that’s a shocking goal. It’s basic defending. Let them pass it down the outside. The centre-halves can get themselves ready.
“As soon as you allow a winger to come inside, you’re hoping they miss. There’s no talking from Romero.
“He’s not telling [Pedro] Porro to let it go outside. You expect the centre-back to come across and help make decisions. Romero didn’t do that.”
Marcus Rashford made it 2-0 before the break to put United in full control of the clash.
